What is your favorite drink?
I really don’t know how to pick an all-time favorite. I usually have monthly or even weekly favorite drinks because my “favorite drink” is always changing. But I do really like iced and blended chai. It’s kinda my go-to drink.
What is your favorite drink to make?
My favorite drinks to make are the ones that look super yummy when they’re done. I love “decorating” drinks with whipped cream, drizzles, chocolate chips, peppermint pieces, etc. I also think that drinks made in a mug, instead of the normal paper cups, look really cozy and delicious.
What is the craziest drink you’ve ever tried?
I would definitely have to say the peanut butter and jelly smoothie. Marissa and I were feeling creative one day and our PB&J smoothie actually turned out pretty good! (we’d love to make it for you sometime! 
)
Do you drink black coffee?
Rarely. But I have been slowly drinking stronger and stronger coffee. So maybe in several years…
How long have you worked at the Kalona Coffee House?
Since, like, forever! I’ve worked at the Kalona Coffee House since it opened in September of 2010 and I’m there so much that I call it my second home.
What is the biggest mess you’ve ever made at work?
I’m constantly making small messes at work but I think the biggest mess I’ve ever made was when I forgot to empty the coffee pot before brewing another full pot of coffee. As you can guess, it overflowed out of the top of the pot and coffee went all over the place. (and I’m a little embarrassed to admit that I’ve not only done this once, but three times!)
What do you like most about working at the Kalona Coffee House?
I really love seeing when people come in with their friends or family. I think it’s so cool to work at a place where people can come to just enjoy being with friends and are able to relax and have a good time. Of course, I also really like making the drinks, inventing new drinks, and helping people personalize their drinks. The people I get to work with are pretty awesome too!
